WHITE WINE 1 – 9 (dry wines – sweet wines) A scale of dryness to sweetness, defined by the Wine Development Board using numbers one to nine, has been used.
RED WINE A – E (easy drinking – fuller bodied) This guide uses a simple five point A – E scale. Wine designated with the letter A being wines that are easy, undemanding and quaffable. At the other end of the scale, wines with E grading are bigger and more concentrated with a greater sensation of depth and fullness.
