Mas Bangla - £12.95 The Bay of Bengal provides a rich harvest of seafood which, supplemented with the fruits of numerous inland lakes and rivers, has endowed Bengali chefs with a specialist flair for fish dishes. Mas Bangla features Scottish salmon as a substitute for rohi, Bengal’s most popular freshwater fish. The salmon fillet is marinated in lime juice, turmeric, green chilli and other spices then fried quickly in mustard oil with garlic, onion, tomato and aubergine.
Green herb chicken - £10.95 Chicken with spring onion, garlic, freshly chopped coriander leaf, tomato and garam massala. An aromatic, medium strength curry.
Saag Chingri, Murgi or Gosht - £10.95 Pureed spinach with prawn, chicken or beef cooked with whole mustard seed, ginger, garlic and coriander to produce a thick, moist and unusually textured curry.
Afghani Gosht - £10.95 Tender scotch lamb, marinated in yoghurt and ground seed spices with chick peas, green chilli, methi leaf, coriander and tomato.
Lemony chicken - £10.95 A delightful lemon juice and ginger based dish with lots of freshly chopped coriander leaf and green chilli.
Vegetable Thali - £15.95 A vegetarian platter including spinach, daal and mixed vegetable bhaji, with riata, puri and pilau rice.
Kashmiri Chicken - £10.95 Chicken and banana cooked in a creamy sauce with various ground seed spices.
Keema Begun - £10.95 Spicy minced lamb with cardamom, ginger, garlic, garam massala and aubergine, creating a rich textured dry curry.
Jalfresi Chicken £10.95, Lamb £10.95, King Prawn £18.95 The meat is tenderised in a marinade of fresh yoghurt, ginger, coriander and cumin then grilled slowly before being fried in ghee with green chilli, garlic, cardamom and various other spices.
Pathan Chicken - £10.95 Garlic, chicken, coriander and green chilli blended with ground cumin, peppercorn and other dried spices to produce a chicken dish, which will vary in strength according to your choice.
Dil’se Special Biryani - £15.95 A central Asian speciality consisting of specially treated rice cooked in mustard oil with almonds, pistachio, coconut and rose water with chicken, beef, prawns and mushrooms then topped with omelette. The dish is served with a mixed vegetable bhaji.
Murgi Massllam - £15.95 Half a chicken delicately spiced and cooked in cream with ground minced beef, onion and ginger. Served with mixed vegetable bhaji and pilau rice.
Passanda - £10.95 Beef, chicken or vegetables with various dry ground and fresh herb spices, flaked almond and cashew nut in cream.
